Meet the Achieve Family

Dr. Curtis, is a humble and dedicated optometrist who has devoted his career to the specialized field of vision therapy and rehabilitation. With a gentle and compassionate approach, Dr. Curtis wholeheartedly commits himself to improving the visual abilities and quality of life for his patients. As a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (FCOVD), he demonstrates remarkable knowledge and skill in the assessment and treatment of visual disorders, always prioritizing the well-being and comfort of those under his care. Dr. Curtis’ commitment to help those who struggle with learning challenges has marked him as an empathetic eye care professional. Dr. Curtis' unique blend of expertise and wit makes him a sight for sore eyes and a true spectacle in the field of optometry.


Dr. Curtis graduated with a degree in Biology from Brigham Young University in 2009. After dedicating two years to support a newly appointed facilities director at Provo School District, he moved his small family to the “Land of the Delta Blues” to attend optometry school at the Southern College of Optometry. He graduated in 2015, then completed his Fellowship in 2020 and has continued to mentor students and doctors seeking to increase their expertise in vision therapy and pediatric vision development.


Dr. Curtis and his wife Amy are busy raising six children. If you ask him, he will tell you that his family is his greatest joy. Just be prepared to submit to a slide show of his kids and the latest litter of puppies from their shaggy dog Breeze.

Dr. Gardner graduated from the Arizona College of Optometry at Midwestern University. Prior to joining ACHIEVE Family Vision, Dr. Gardner completed a residency in Pediatric Optometry, Vision Therapy and Neuro-Visual Rehabilitation. During his residency training, Dr. Gardner received special training in Myopia Management (how to slow down the progression of nearsightedness in children). His enthusiasm for children’s vision, vision therapy, and myopia management are contagious, and you are sure to leave with a smile.

Dr. Gardner is fluent in Spanish (Él habla Español). In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, playing the piano, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Christopher Pope joined the practice in May 2022 after graduating from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Prior to optometry school he attended Utah Valley University and received a bachelor’s degree in biology. He is a Utah native.

Dr. Pope seeks to provide exceptional vision care as he enjoys building connections and educating patients on their individual needs. His interest in vision therapy jumpstarted when he rotated through ACHIEVE Family Vision (formerly Child & Family EyeCare Center) as a fourth-year optometry student. This fascination of the visual system continues to soar! He is grateful to be able to be part of such an amazing team! Él habla Español.

Dr. Pope and his wife enjoy spending time with family, going on long walks, and riding their motorcycle.

Tahnee works as our Doctors’ Executive Assistant. She has made Orem, UT her home for many years. In her free time, she enjoys reading novels, writing letters, music, and playing the Game of Things with family and friends.
