Meet the Achieve Family
Dr. Curtis
OD, FCOVD
Dr. Curtis is a humble and dedicated optometrist who has devoted his career to the specialized field of vision therapy and rehabilitation. After graduating from Southern College of Optometry in 2015 he joined Child & Family EyeCare Center, now known as ACHIEVE Family Vision. In 2020 he completed a fellowship with the Optometric Vision Development and Rehabilitation Association, furthering his commitment to help all who struggle with specialized vision challenges. He enjoys mentoring other optometry students and teaching about the connection between vision and learning. Before attending optometry school Dr. Curtis graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where he discovered his passion for BYU creamery ice cream.
Dr. Curtis and his wife Amy are busy raising six talented children. When he isn't helping patients, on a date with Amy, or wrestling his kids you can find him either at his drum set, practicing the cello, or playing with Breeze their shaggy Old English Sheepadoodle.
Dr. Gardner
OD, FAAO
Dr. Gardner graduated from the Arizona College of Optometry at Midwestern University. Prior to joining ACHIEVE Family Vision, Dr. Gardner completed a residency in Pediatric Optometry, Vision Therapy and Neuro-Visual Rehabilitation. During his residency training, Dr. Gardner received special training in Pediatric Eye Care, Vision-Related Learning Challenges, Treatment of Strabismus (eye turns) and Amblyopia (Lazy Eyes), Myopia Management (how to slow down the progression of nearsightedness in children), and Concussion/Brain Injury Rehabilitation.
Dr. Gardner played a pivotal role in the development of ACHIEVE’s Dyslexia & Processing Evaluation that helps guide families of struggling students to the specific resources needed to address their child’s reading/learning challenges, and is an active member of the Learning Disabilities Association of Utah.

Dr. Pope
OD
Dr. Christopher Pope joined the practice in May 2022 after graduating from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Prior to optometry school he attended Utah Valley University and received a bachelor’s degree in biology. He is a Utah native.
Dr. Pope seeks to provide exceptional vision care as he enjoys building connections and educating patients on their individual needs. His interest in vision therapy jumpstarted when he rotated through ACHIEVE Family Vision (formerly Child & Family EyeCare Center) as a fourth-year optometry student. This fascination of the visual system continues to soar! He is grateful to be able to be part of such an amazing team! Él habla Español.
Dr. Pope and his wife enjoy spending time with family, going on long walks, and riding their motorcycle.

Executive Assistant
The great examples in Tahnee's life have inspired her to seek better understanding of communication, vision, well being and individual worth. With each story she has heard, her curiosity grows as she seeks to find better ways to spend her short time on earth. She is grateful for each opportunity to learn and expand her knowledge of those she meets and, most especially, her loved ones.

Anna
Vision Therapist
Anna, a Vision Therapist, finds it incredibly fulfilling to assist individuals, especially children, in discovering their unique abilities. She has extensive experience with children with special needs, particularly those with Autism, ADHD, and Tourette's. In her free time, Anna enjoys spending time with her family, practicing macro photography, creating jewelry using a torch, and roller skating.
Nancy
Vision Therapist
Nancy grew up in Provo, UT. Having previously worked as a CNA, she is well experienced in taking care of people of all ages. She now works as one of our Vision Therapists. She also loves the outdoors, warm weather, demolition derbies, Sand Dunes, is an avid craft-a-holic, and is not above being bribed with chocolate (just not the chili kind, that’s gross ^_^).
LaSchelle
Vision Therapist
LaSchelle loves to help her patients grow in confidence - both in body and mind. She loves to learn and work hard while balancing her life as a mother of five children. She enjoys spending time educating them, in addition to staying active together (hiking, biking, and swimming). She also loves gardening, cooking, menu planning/nutrition, home organization, music, and writing.
Sam
Vision Therapist
Sam is currently a student at BYU, and loves his classes for his major in Biology. He is planning on attending Optometry School in 2026 with hopes to have a practice of his own someday. Sam loves to run in his free time, and he recently finished his first 50 mile ultra marathon, and has a goal to one day run in the Leadville 100 mile ultra.
LeNan
Patient Care Coordinator Team
LeNan is our Billing Specialist. She loves spending time with her husband, kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren! She has the best family ever. She enjoys cooking, gardening, and baseball. She and her husband go to as many San Diego Padres games as they can. Good times!
Ally
Patient Care Coordinator Team
Ally is a part of our Patient Care Coordinator team. She is from Idaho Falls, Idaho and moved to Utah in January 2022. Ally loves reading, going to concerts, being outside, and spending time with her family.
Shanda
Patient Care Coordinator Team
Shanda’s favorite times are those spent with her husband going camping, fishing, or pretty much anything outdoors. She is a huge Utah Utes fan and enjoys going to sporting events and traveling to watch the Utes play. She enjoys her work as an Optician and has fun helping people pick out glasses that make them look and feel their best.
Jen
Patient Care Coordinator
Jen grew up in American Fork and has lived most of her life here in Utah County. She is currently a student at UVU, majoring in psychology. In her free time, she loves being outdoors, especially hiking, camping, and enjoying beautiful views. She loves being with her family and friends. She enjoys helping people and loves seeing smiles on their faces.
Konner
Optometric Technician
Konner currently attends Utah Valley University and has applied to go to Optometry school very soon!. He loves getting to know people and helping patients anyway he can, especially kids. He loves spending time with his wife, family, and playing sports.
Rebecca
Dyslexia & Processing Evaluation Aide
Rebecca is excited to be a part of team ACHIEVE, and thrives on the opportunity to work with patients and help them along their journeys. The children she works with love their "Miss Becca," and we love her too! Rebecca enjoys working in the medical field and continues to explore possibilities as she progresses in her career. She also loves music, the outdoors, and hand lettering.
Jana
Optometric Technician
Jana attended Brigham Young University, and she is excited to be working as part of our technician team. She is interested in the medical field, and she loves working with patients and helping them find solutions to problems they have been facing. She loves language, food, travel, and learning about other people and cultures.
Jordan
Optometric Technician
Jordan is a pre-medical student who is working on his medical school application. He graduated from the University of Wyoming with a major in Physiology and minor in Disability Studies. Jordan's older sister has Down syndrome and he loves working with people with neurodevelopmental disabilities. In his free time, he enjoys walking, speaking Portuguese, and playing board games with his wife.
Maggie
Optometric Technician
Maggie is a member of our Technician team. After graduating from BYU with a degree in Microbiology, Maggie plans to attend optometry school in the near future. Maggie enjoys hiking, running, and traveling, and has big plans to make a difference in the world.
Sara
Vision Therapy Patient Care Coordinator
Sara, a California girl by heart, loves serving and uplifting those around her. She hopes to be a friendly face and a support to all patient needs on the ACHIEVE Vision Therapy side. Sara adores animals of every kind and will never say no to eating more ice cream. In her downtime, you will find Sara running in the sun, climbing rock walls, attempting various art projects, and relaxing with an enjoyable book or movie. Currently, Sara is in the process of learning to keep her plants alive.
